Knitting is a passion and at Artesano, we are passionate about providing you with the best quality wool and knitting yarns, sourced from ethical producers at an affordable price. We are a family business and we are very proud of what we have achieved in 5 years of trade as we are now one of the fastest growing wholesale knitting yarn and knitting wool suppliers in the world, selling to over 500 stores in 22 countries. The reason for our success is that we care. We care about the products that we sell, we care about the people that we work with. We care about the suppliers of our products and most importantly, we care about you, the knitter of our products, that you are happy with our knitting wool and yarns and our free knitting patterns.

We value your feedback. If you are unhappy with anything that we do, please tell us. We make mistakes, but we cannot fix them unless you tell us. Please email us or phone us if you are not happy with any aspect of our service. We will put it right. (We also appreciate good feedback and suggestions for what we can do next.)

We are a socially conscious wholesale knitting yarn and knitting wool suppliers endeavouring to provide fair trade products. We are so pleased that one of the companies that we support, Manos Del Uruguay, is now the only yarn and knitting wool producer in the world to be officially recognised by the World Fair Trade Organisation. The sale of every hank of this yarn benefits the person who made it and the communities that they live in.

In addition to being wholesale knitting yarn and knitting wool suppliers Artesano also produces free knitting patterns. As knitting is a craft that is undertaken by such a broad spectrum of people, it is unlikely that all of our free knitting patterns will appeal to everybody that uses our yarns and knitting wool. We understand this and produce a large variety of different designs so that something will appeal to everybody. If you find that you don't like a collection, do not despair, we are sure you will find something that is to your taste.

Most of our wholesale knitting yarn and knitting wool is produced to standard weights, so a DK in our alpaca is the same as our new DK Superwash wool, Hummingbird DK or Manos Del Uruguays fair trade silk blend. You can use any of the knitting patterns with any of these yarns and knitting wool and we challenge you as a knitter to use yarns and colours other than those featured on the pattern to make your design unique.

On this site we have over 300 knitting patterns and many yarns and wools, we also have 500+ stockists. We appreciate that it is sometimes hard for you to find what you need. Not all of our stockists take all of our range, so the best way to find what you want is to call us on +44(0)118 9503350 or email Jenny at jenny@artesanoyarns.co.uk.

We have a Knitting Forum coming soon, check back regularly for updates.

We hope that you like our new look site and we look forward to hearing from you.
